Syracuse University's Maxwell School of Citizenship & Public Affairs is hosting a Budgeting Mechanisms Workshop Series on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 11:00 AM EST.
This webinar will feature Sarah Anzia from UC Berkeley Goldman School of Public Policy, with George Krauss from the University of Georgia and Thad Calabrese from New York University acting as discussants.
The series focuses on fostering discussions on innovative theoretical and empirical research concerning public budgeting mechanisms. Pre-registration is required, and those interested can contact Qining at [email protected] for more information.

Survey | Teaching Democracy in Challenging Times? PA Instructor Survey

We invite all full- and part-time instructors of public administration and policy studies in the U.S. to complete a brief (15-minute) survey by Dec. 15, 2025. The survey explores how democratic standards are addressed in teaching and accreditation, and whether course content is being censored or self-censored. Responses are confidential and only aggregated results will be shared to inform future workshops. The study has IRB approval and is endorsed by the Journal of Public Affairs Education.
