2024 H. George Frederickson Award
Congratulations to Carolyn J. Heinrich on being the esteemed recipient of this year’s H. George Frederickson Award, recognizing her significant career contributions to the field of public management.
Purpose
The purpose of the H. George Frederickson Award for Career Contributions to Public Management Research is to honor a senior scholar for exemplary contributions to the intellectual development of the field.
Eligibility
To be eligible for consideration, a public management scholar will have contributions which commonly include both written scholarship and development of professional capital including association service, journal advancement, involvement in conferences, mentoring, field advocacy, etc.
Application Process
Nominations for the 2025 award cycle have not yet opened.
Assessment Criteria
Each submission will be assessed based on the degree to which the nominee has made:
scholarly contributions to the intellectual development of public management, and
professional capital contributions to the development of the field (e.g., journal development, contributions to PMRA and other organizations, coordination of conferences, mentoring, and other means of sharing scholarship and information).
Award
The award recipient will be formally recognized at the upcoming Public Management Research Conference.
