The 8th Public Management Research Conference

The Public Management Research Conference is the official biennial conference of the Public Management Research Association. Since its first meeting in 1991, the conference has been the foremost gathering of leading public management research scholars. Four books and numerous articles in leading academic journals have been published from conference papers.
The next conference, with a general theme on governance, is scheduled from September 29 to October 1, 2005 and will be hosted by the School of Policy, Planning, and Development at the University of Southern California. With an anticipated attendance of around 200 participants and 25 separate panels, the conference will begin with a welcome reception at the University Faculty Club on the evening of September 29 (Thursday). The main program of the conference will last from the morning of September 30 (Friday) until the afternoon of October 1 (Saturday).
The conference will feature a keynote speaker at the luncheon on September 30 (Friday) on the USC campus. That evening there will be a reception at a downtown Los Angeles location. On October 1 (Saturday), a featured guest will speak at the luncheon on campus.
